Amelie Bernhardt is a graphic designer and emerging illustrator who is based in Wellington. Art always was a big part in her life having access to some of the most beautiful museums and art galleries in her back yard The Louvre, Vienna and Museum of the Modern in Munich. Inspiring Art books and a home full of collected art influenced and motivated her in drawing ever since she was little. She enjoyed her student life in Munich, Germany and learned from the german artists Hans Seeger and Karel Fron at the Seeger Drawing School and later at Munich University for Applied Sciences. Her favorite tools are water colours, acrylic and the pencil line which is in her eyes the most minimal, strong and direct medium to express a feeling or concept to the viewer. At the moment Amelie is experimenting with paper collage and is enjoying the flow of inspiration and unpredictable results.
